Aruba’s judicial authorities continue their series of intensive raids this month, striking major blows against criminal operations on the island. Since the start of December, coordinated actions by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Narcotics Unit of the Aruba Police Force (KPA) have resulted in several arrests linked to drug trafficking.

The first raid took place in Bushiri, where authorities executed a judicial entry at a residence suspected of drug dealing. During this unexpected operation, police arrested a 33-year-old man with initials J.L.P., born in the Netherlands. Officers also seized a loaded firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of both marijuana and cocaine.

Following this raid, the Narcotics Unit carried out additional coordinated operations at homes located in Calbas, Pavia, and Shiribana. These actions resulted in the arrest of two women:

Police also detained three additional men:

  • S.A.F., 58, born in Aruba
  • E.A.T., 45, born in Aruba
  • A.J.L.L., 33, born in Aruba

During the searches at these locations, authorities discovered significant quantities of marijuana and cocaine. The operations involved multiple specialized units, including Arrest Teams, the K-9 Unit, Flexteam, Rapid Response Team (RRT), and uniformed officers from Noord.

A police spokesperson told DIARIO that the Narcotics Unit “never sleeps” and will continue working to ensure Aruba remains safe. Authorities expressed gratitude to the community for providing valuable tips through the Tiplijn 111-41 hotline, which continue to support investigations and lead to successful arrests that help protect the island’s youth from criminal networks.
