ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) announced that Queen Beatrix International Airport has obtained the IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) certification, an important international recognition for its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
To achieve the prestigious certification, AAA spent more than two years completing training, evaluations, and verification processes. During 2025, the airport implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) to further improve its environmental performance and reduce its impact on the environment.
According to Angeline Flemming, Director of Health and Sustainability at AAA, the achievement is the result of hard work by the sustainability team together with support from employees, commercial partners, and stakeholders.
With this certification, Aruba Airport now joins a select group of organizations certified by IATA and aims to continue leading in environmental responsibility within the aviation sector.
