Snoop Doggy Foundation Launches the “Sleepover Project” to Teach Children How to Care for Pets

On October 28, 2025, the Snoop Doggy Foundation introduced its “Sleepover Project” at JOIA by Iberostar, an innovative initiative designed to educate children on the responsibilities of pet care. A large group of teachers and school directors attended the event to learn more about the new, highly educational project.

Over the past two years, the foundation has distributed educational books to all primary schools across Aruba. To put theory into practice, the foundation decided to introduce the “Sleepover Project,” which provides children with a hands-on learning experience about what it really means to care for a pet.

Each weekend, a second-grade student will take home a Snoop Doggy stuffed toy, along with an activity book. The student will also receive a care kit containing items such as a leash, food, water, and other essentials. The goal of the project is to help children understand that owning a pet is not just about providing food and care but also about giving love, attention, and responsibility.

At the end of the project, the children will participate in a role-play session in class, where they can pretend to be veterinarians, shop for pet food with Snoop Doggy coins, and more.

The Snoop Doggy Foundation expressed gratitude to JOIA Aruba by Iberostar for providing a beautiful venue for the presentation. The foundation also thanked its generous sponsors for making the project possible: Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort, La Cabana Beach Resort Aruba, and Martijn Trading.

Those interested in participating or contributing to the project can contact the Snoop Doggy Foundation at foundationsnoopdoggy@gmail.com or 592 0642.
