Activist Max Elias Ng, representing the family of 19-year-old Ayden Lanoy, expressed hope and faith during Friday’s court session regarding the fatal police shooting case.
Ng stated that the family continues to trust both the judicial process and their faith in God, despite the case taking time to progress. “We believe this case will move forward as it should. Even if it takes long, we have patience and faith—not only in the justice system but also in God, who continues to give this family strength,” he said.
He emphasized that the family appreciates the cooperation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the presiding judge. “At the end of the day, true justice is in God’s hands,” Ng added.
Ng also noted that the case is complex and deserves a fair process for all parties involved. “Even though the pain of the family is immense, justice must be fair to everyone. We believe the court will reach a balanced and proportional verdict when the time comes,” he concluded.
