ORANJESTAD (AAN) – On Saturday, May 2, a youth art exhibition will be held at the National Archaeological Museum Aruba (MANA) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with free admission for the public.
According to Jo-ann Kock-Ridderstap, the event will feature artworks created by young participants based on the theme of Aruba’s birds. The evening will also include poetry readings and musical performances, making it a lively and cultural experience.
This project is the third and final in a series focused on youth aged 10 to 18, although some older talented participants also took part. The previous two projects were very successful and well received. The current project also focuses on raising awareness, encouraging each participant to adopt a bird as part of the initiative.
Kock-Ridderstap highlighted that this exhibition will emphasize mixed art forms such as collage and assemblage. She noted that the young artists continue to improve their skills and present their work with growing confidence and professionalism.
After completing this youth-focused project, Kock-Ridderstap plans to shift her focus to adult participants due to high demand.
The public is invited, especially young people, but also the wider Aruba community, to attend the exhibition, support the young artists, and enjoy an evening of art and awareness.
