Women’s Club of Aruba Highlights Success of “Dress a Child” Project

Women’s Club of Aruba (WCA) once again dedicated their time and efforts to their signature community initiative, “Dress a Child.”

The project, which began in 1997, was created to provide children from families with limited resources with new clothing for the Christmas and year-end holiday season. This year, between December 1 and December 12, the Women’s Club of Aruba successfully clothed approximately 413 children aged 0 to 10 across various districts and retail locations throughout the island.

The project was coordinated at different stores under the leadership of designated district captains:

  • Paradera / Santa Cruz: Captain Milagros Posner at Salina Department Store
  • Brazil / San Nicolas: Captains Norma Brinkenberg and Roxanne Vieira at KeKe Mega Mart and Ambikaa

The financial management of the project was overseen by Aquannette Gunn.

The Women’s Club of Aruba expressed sincere gratitude to the management and staff of all participating stores for their cooperation, as well as to all organizations and individuals who supported the initiative. Special thanks were extended to Alhambra Casino, Old School Bikers, WCA members, and the wider Aruban community for their contributions to fundraising efforts, including events such as Blooming Bingo 2025.

Through initiatives like “Dress a Child,” the Women’s Club of Aruba continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across the island. The organization also takes this opportunity to wish the people of Aruba happy holidays and a prosperous New Year 2026.
