Aruba observed King’s Day with a formal ceremony at Wilhelminapark on Monday morning. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including His Excellency the Governor, Prime Minister Mike Eman, and members of the Cabinet and Parliament.
The protocolary event began with the arrival of the dignitaries, followed by military honors and an official inspection by the Governor. The flags of Aruba and the Netherlands were raised simultaneously as the national anthems of both countries were played.
During the ceremony, President of Parliament Marlon Sneek and Vice Prime Minister Gerlien Croes addressed the audience. Prime Minister Eman used the occasion to highlight the importance of unity and solidarity within the Dutch Kingdom. The event also included the presentation of the Governor Felipe B. Tromp Youth Cup, celebrating the achievements of Aruban youth.
