ORANJESTAD, Aruba — The Wit Gele Kruis Aruba Course for future parents will begin in September, offering eight sessions designed to help first-time mothers and fathers prepare for the arrival of their baby.
The well-known “Futuro Mayor” course provides expecting parents with practical information about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, nutrition, health and parenting.
Wit Gele Kruis Aruba said the program is intended to help new parents feel better prepared and more confident as they begin a new stage of family life.

Registration for the Wit Gele Kruis Aruba Course is still available by calling 281-4544.
The fee is 40 Aruban florins for an expectant mother attending alone and 60 florins for a couple participating together.
Sessions will be held at the Aula di Lama, a special educational space at JOIA Aruba by Iberostar at Eagle Beach.
Participants can access the classroom through the lower outside entrance on the northern side of the hotel.
Eight Sessions Planned for September
The September program consists of eight scheduled sessions covering different topics relevant to pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood.
Tuesday, September 1:
A session led by a midwife from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 3:
Childbirth preparation from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by a delivery-room session from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 8:
A breastfeeding session from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 10:
Oral health from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by healthy nutrition from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 15:
A session presented by Tienda di Educacion from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 17:
A psychology session from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 22:
A session by the Wit Gele Kruis Parent and Child Care sector from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 24:
A session presented by Fundacion Pa Nos Muchanan from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Helping Future Parents Prepare
Through the Wit Gele Kruis Aruba Course, expectant parents can receive information from professionals and community organizations on several important aspects of preparing for a newborn.
The course combines practical preparation with guidance on physical health, nutrition, emotional well-being and caring for a child.
With eight sessions scheduled throughout September, the program gives future mothers and fathers in Aruba an opportunity to prepare together for pregnancy, childbirth and the first stages of parenthood.
