A Weg Rooi Hundo crash left a young rider seriously injured in San Nicolas shortly after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, according to reports by 24ora and AWE24. Emergency crews took the rider to Horacio Oduber Hospital.
Emergency transfer followed car-and-moped collision
24ora reported that residents heard a loud impact and found a rider on the road beside a damaged moped and car. Two ambulances responded, and police helped clear the route for the urgent hospital journey.
Police examine how the collision happened
AWE24 reported that a Toyota Vitz turned left before the collision. That account describes the reported sequence, not a final determination of responsibility. Police and forensic investigators attended the scene to investigate.
The later 24ora report described the rider as 17 years old and in critical condition. Neither report supplied a subsequent hospital update.
