Two AKT scooters were reported stolen from a residential yard in Tanki Flip early Wednesday, according to a local report.
Two AKT 250 scooters taken
The report said the two vehicles were AKT 250 scooters and that the theft occurred at about 2 a.m. Three people were said to have entered the property before leaving with the scooters.
The circumstances led the owner to believe the people involved may have been familiar with the property, although that claim has not been independently confirmed.
GPS signal ended after 15 minutes
One scooter had a GPS device, but the signal could no longer be followed after roughly 15 minutes, the report said. A complaint was filed.
A reward of Afl. 1,000 has been offered for information that helps locate the scooters and those responsible. Anyone with relevant information was asked to contact 563-6200 or 562-6590.
