A driver was injured and taken to hospital after a tire blowout caused a Honda Fit to crash into a guardrail on Aruba’s Green Corridor on Sunday morning.
Crash occurred near Hyatt Place
According to AWE24, police and ambulance personnel were sent to the Green Corridor near Hyatt Place after receiving a report of an injury collision.
Investigators at the scene learned that one of the Honda Fit’s tires burst while the vehicle was moving. The driver lost control and struck the guardrail on the north side of the road.
Guardrail displaced in impact
The collision reportedly shifted the guardrail roughly 30 metres. The driver was injured in the impact and received treatment from ambulance personnel before being transported to hospital.
No information was provided about the driver’s condition, whether other people were in the car, or whether another vehicle was involved. The Green Corridor tire-blowout crash remained under the attention of responding authorities at the time of the report.
