Parliamentarian Evelyn Wever-Croes: A valuable exchange with the future of our Kingdom
This past Thursday, Fraction Leader Evelyn Wever-Croes and Parliamentarian Endy Croes were present in the Parliament chamber for a special engagement with a group of students from Haagse Hogeschool and the University of Aruba, who are following the minor “Koninkrijkszaken” (Kingdom Affairs).
The students arrived well-prepared and presented thoughtful and critical questions. They expressed strong interest in the work of Parliament and requested clarification on several important points concerning Aruba’s wellbeing.
Mrs. Wever-Croes shared her appreciation for being able to participate actively in this meaningful exchange — listening to the students’ perspectives, answering their questions, and emphasizing that many parliamentary decisions have a direct impact on their future. According to her, maintaining strong ties with students is essential for transparency, civic engagement, and ensuring that young people remain well-informed about national decisions and Aruba’s position within the Kingdom.
The Fraction Leader concluded by thanking the students and the teachers from Haagse Hogeschool and the University of Aruba for their interest and participation in Parliament.
