Fundacion Lanta Papiamento (FLP) has announced the winner of a special raffle held during the recent “Papiamento den Hofi” celebration. The event took place at the Arubiana-Caribiana Department of the National Library of Aruba (BNA) and commemorated the 23rd anniversary of the officialization of the Papiamento language.
Designed to foster pride and appreciation for Aruba’s mother tongue, the cultural evening featured various presentations highlighting the richness of the local language. As part of the festivities, FLP held a raffle for participants. On Monday, the foundation announced via its social media platforms that ticket #403020 was selected as the winner. The prize awarded is the book “Ata Compa Nanzi Atrobe!”.
The holder of the winning ticket is asked to contact FLP via a private message on Facebook at @flparuba to coordinate prize delivery. FLP extended its thanks to the community for their continued support in promoting the language. The foundation emphasized its ongoing commitment to preserving Aruba’s cultural heritage for future generations, echoing the event’s central message, “Ban promove nos idioma.”
