ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Mikel Schreuders, one of the standout athletes from Stingray Swimming Team, delivered another remarkable performance by setting a new Aruba national record during the prestigious TYR Pro Swim Series 2026 in Indianapolis, one of the most competitive swimming events in the United States.
Competing in the Men’s 100-meter Breaststroke, Schreuders recorded a time of 1:02.29 during the preliminary heats before improving significantly in the final. He touched the wall in an impressive 1:01.70, lowering his previous mark and establishing a new Aruba national record.
The achievement reflects years of dedication, training, and commitment to excellence. Competing against elite international swimmers, Schreuders once again demonstrated that Aruba can compete at the highest levels of international swimming.
