Two motorcyclists were slightly injured after an accident near the Duracell field shortly after midnight on Sunday night.
Police and ambulance personnel responded to reports of an accident involving injuries at the location. Upon arrival, one of the riders reportedly questioned why police had responded, stating that authorities had not been called to the scene.
Officers explained that police are required to respond to all traffic accidents involving injuries, even when the injuries appear minor.
Paramedics treated both victims at the scene for injuries to their legs, hands, and head. Neither victim required emergency transport.
According to police, one of the riders stated they were returning home after attending the Haitian celebration event.
During the investigation, officers discovered that one of the scooter riders did not have proper documentation in order. As a result, police confiscated the scooter.
