On Saturday night, judges announced the winners of the Tumberito and Tumba Hubenil competitions, two important youth events within Aruba’s Carnival celebrations.
The title of Rey Tumberito (Children’s Tumba King) was awarded to Jaymerson Kelly, while Melody Franken was crowned Queen of Tumba Hubenil.
Minister of Education Gerlien Croes was present at the event and personally congratulated the winners on their achievements. She praised their dedication, preparation, and strong performances during the festival, noting the significant support they received from fans and the community.
Minister Croes also extended her congratulations to Aruba as a whole, emphasizing the importance of nurturing young talent.
“This is our musical future,” the Minister stated.
