ORANJESTAD – MEP Parliamentarian Xiomara Maduro has questioned the government’s use of Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) funds to pay a private company for processing green waste.
Speaking during a public parliamentary meeting, Maduro called for greater transparency regarding public spending and asked why the work was not assigned to Serlimar.
She also requested clarification on the cost of the contract, how it differs from the “Baki den Bario” program, and the government’s long-term plans for Serlimar’s role in waste management.
