ORANJESTAD – Kami, a rescued Dutch Shepherd, is looking for a loving forever home after being saved from neglect.
Kami was rescued along with her mother, who had been living in a confined cage. After spending a few days at Aruba’s Dog Control Center, her mother was adopted, while Kami was transferred to Iguana Dog Resort, where she is receiving training to help manage her high energy.
Described as playful, energetic and intelligent, Kami enjoys running and playing but requires an experienced owner who can provide regular exercise, training and patience. She also needs a secure yard and should not be kept in a cage or tied up.
Although Kami gets along with other dogs, she is not suitable for homes with cats or young children. Her caregivers say she is a loyal companion who will protect and love the right family.
