ORANJESTAD, Aruba — The Magic FM Aruba Upgrade is introducing modern broadcasting equipment, improved technical facilities and stronger audio quality for FM and online listeners.
Following its successful coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Magic 96.5 FM announced that it is entering a new phase of development.
During the past year, the radio station has implemented several changes to its technical infrastructure. Management said the investments form part of its continuing commitment to providing a modern, reliable and high-quality broadcasting service.
Radio continues to play an important role in daily life in Aruba. Despite the growing number of entertainment platforms available, thousands of people continue to rely on local radio stations for news, music and entertainment.
Founded in 1998, Magic FM has developed a strong daily audience in Aruba and among listeners living abroad.
New Broadcasting Equipment Installed
As part of the Magic FM Aruba Upgrade, the station relocated its transmission room to a new facility in Hooiberg.
Other improvements include replacing transmission tubes, renovating the studio-to-transmitter link system and purchasing an updated broadcasting automation system.
The station has also acquired new computers, audio processors and microphone equipment. Installation of the new sound equipment is scheduled to take place during the week.
According to Magic FM, the technology will improve audio quality both on the FM frequency and through its online streaming platforms.
Staff members will also receive training to ensure they can operate the new automated system effectively.
Investment Inspired by NAB Show
Magic FM management and team members gained knowledge and inspiration for the upgrades during a visit to the NAB Show 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Magic FM director Erin Croes said the investments were necessary to maintain the station’s standards and provide better quality for listeners.
Croes said continued innovation and improvement are essential for a radio station seeking long-term growth.
Alongside the technical renovation, Magic FM is upgrading its online presence to strengthen its connection with audiences in Aruba and overseas.
Management thanked the station’s employees for their daily commitment. It also expressed appreciation to listeners and commercial clients for their continued support.
With the next phase of installation and employee training underway, Magic 96.5 FM expects the improvements to begin a new period of quality, innovation and growth.
