Eagle Beach, Aruba – La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino set an inspiring tone for 2025 with its first Associates General Meeting (AGM) of the year, held under the vibrant theme “Embracing HEART and Celebrating Happiness.” The event highlighted a renewed focus on service excellence and honored the team’s creativity and collaboration.

Launching the HEART Method: A New Era of Guest Service

A major highlight of the meeting was the introduction of HEART, a powerful new service strategy designed to enhance the guest experience through compassion and accountability.

Presented by HR Assistant Henry Diaz and HR Manager Sudi Guda, the HEART acronym stands for:

  • Hear
  • Empathize
  • Apologize
  • Resolve
  • Thank

Widely adopted in hospitality and service sectors, HEART equips associates with the tools to handle guest interactions with empathy and effectiveness.

“HEART empowers our team to create memorable guest experiences while staying true to our values,” Diaz shared during the session.

Honoring Creativity: Winning the Aruba Tourism Authority’s Happiness Day Award

General Manager Joe Naijar took the stage to present the Happiness Award, recognizing La Cabana’s recent win in the Aruba Tourism Authority’s Happiness Day competition. A heartwarming video showcased the team’s enthusiasm, creativity, and collaborative spirit that led to the victory.

“Celebrating success together strengthens our culture and reminds us that joy and teamwork go hand-in-hand,” Naijar emphasized.

A Sweet Surprise from the Aruba Tourism Authority

To celebrate the win, the Aruba Tourism Authority treated associates to a surprise visit from Pofferdorie Aruba, serving fresh Dutch mini pancakes (poffertjes) right in the associate parking lot. With music, smiles, and festive energy, the area turned into a joyful celebration of appreciation and team pride.

“Moments like these remind us that our people are the heartbeat of La Cabana,” said one enthusiastic associate.

A Culture of Service, Joy, and Growth

By launching the HEART method and celebrating shared success, La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino continues to lead the way in nurturing employee engagement and delivering exceptional guest service.

With HEART at its core, La Cabana is setting the standard for a workplace where service excellence and happiness thrive together.
