Agencies meet residents in the neighborhood
The Juwana Morto community drive brought government departments and community organizations into the San Nicolas housing complex this week. Prime Minister Mike Eman and ministers Rene Herde and Wendrick Cicilia joined Serlimar, City Inspector, public health, police, mosquito control, public works, social affairs, Luna Foundation and FCCA.
Cleanup and prevention work advances
Serlimar manager Michael Raymond reported the area was considerably cleaner than a year earlier. City Inspector representative Robert Ras said two containers were filled on the first day while trucks removed more waste. Mosquito-control staff visited homes to explain how residents can eliminate standing-water breeding sites.
Housing and animal-welfare concerns recorded
Luna Foundation discussed responsible pet care, while FCCA representatives recorded housing suggestions and complaints. FCCA’s Maroushka Rafini said a project involving replacement of neighborhood structures referred to locally as percolanan is planned for 2027, with hopes work could begin sooner.
