Aruba’s government, AZV and SZA/HOH have agreed to commission an independent hospital financial review of Horacio Oduber Hospital to establish its funding needs and support continuity-of-care decisions.
Review follows months of financial concern
According to the government announcement reported by NoticiaCla, SZA/HOH raised concerns in July 2026. Medical groups and unions have also warned about financial pressure and its possible effect on services. The analysis is expected to produce verifiable financial information for the parties.
Patient care is to continue during analysis
The minister responsible for public health said patient care must not be harmed while the review is carried out. Continuity and quality of care are to remain protected throughout the process.
