Bermudez Demands Hotel Sector Inspections

After publicly expressing his serious concerns about situations in the hotel sector, Parliamentarian Ing. Carlos Bermudez sent an official letter to the Ministers of Tourism and Labor. In the letter, Bermudez asked whether the ministers are willing to urgently develop and implement specific hotel sector inspections.

Following his statement, more and more workers contacted Bermudez to share their experiences. What has come to light is extremely alarming. Complaints include non-compliance with labor laws, many involving foreign managers. However, Bermudez emphasized that this cannot be generalized — not all foreign managers are the cause of problems.

Call for Unity and Strength

Bermudez calls for unity and strength: “Together we are stronger.”
