Monday afternoon, emergency services received a report regarding a 22-year-old woman in Ponton who had ingested a quantity of pills. Police and ambulance units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the young woman’s mother holding her. With considerable effort, ambulance personnel spoke with the woman to help calm her down and brought her into the ambulance for initial assessment and treatment.
Police officers also arrived on scene and spoke with the mother to understand the situation and provide appropriate support. After being stabilized, the woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance for further medical care and evaluation.
