Twenty-three Coast Guard and police trainees have completed the four-week Samen Sterk course, a step in joint security training for the Dutch Caribbean region that includes Aruba.
Course ends with intensive final exercise
AWE24 reported that trainees from the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard, the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force and the Sint Maarten Police Force completed an intensive final exercise before a traditional welcome at Marinebasis Parera in Curacao.
Trainees continue two-year preparation
The completion marks the next stage in a two-year basic education and police-preparation program. The source presented the course as cooperation among three services working toward regional security. It did not break down how many Dutch Caribbean security trainees came from each service or identify individual participants.
