DOW rapid response arrangements have been established to address urgent public-infrastructure reports more quickly, according to a November 4 report by 24ora. The initiative was developed with the ministry.
Team covers roads, signs and branches
DOW infrastructure-management head Daryll Lue said the team handles varied tasks, including pothole repairs, replacement of traffic signs and pruning trees or branches that cause problems. Reports are classified and directed to the department responsible for the work.
Existing resources support the service
Infrastructure Minister Rene Herde welcomed the initiative and praised the DOW staff involved. He said more efficient use of existing personnel and equipment could improve the response to community needs without an additional bureaucratic layer.
The report describes an operating response arrangement, rather than confirmation that every reported infrastructure problem has been repaired. It does not give a guaranteed response time or announce a separate project budget.
