ORANJESTAD (AAN): In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the beloved community initiative Cupcake di Speranza returns once again in 2026, marking its 11th year of spreading hope and support through charitable fundraising.

The project began in 2016 on Caya Grandi Para with just 200 cupcakes, and over the years it has continued to grow steadily. Each year, the proceeds have been dedicated to individuals and foundations in need. Past beneficiaries include Baby Luna (2016), Mrs. Koolman (2017), two children’s foundations (2018), Ethan (2019 and 2020), Guinni (2020), Shady (2021), Janelle (2022), Aljereau (2023), the Rasmijn family and Baby Jeremiah (2024), and in 2025, the special 15-year-old youth Richeline.

For 2026, the Cupcake di Speranza project will be dedicated to Pasadia Briyo di Solo, an institution that supports special youth by helping them develop their talents. Pasadia Briyo di Solo also runs a beautiful project focused on producing various types of tea. Their dream for 2026 is to open a Tea House, where they can continue selling their teas and welcome the community to enjoy tea along with cookies or cake in a warm and inclusive environment.

The public is invited to support this initiative by purchasing Cupcake di Speranza 2026. The minimum order is one dozen (12 cupcakes) for 60 florins, with no limit on the number of dozens ordered. This initiative is ideal for businesses wishing to treat employees or clients, as well as families and friends who want to contribute.

Cupcakes will be distributed on February 12 and 13, with delivery available to homes or workplaces. Orders can be placed via WhatsApp at 561-6151 (George Winterdaal). Payment can be made in cash upon delivery or via bank transfer to Aruba Bank account number 6006480190. Monetary donations are also welcome.

GLW Foundation expressed its appreciation for the continued community support, emphasizing that with everyone’s help, Pasadia Briyo di Solo can move closer to achieving its goal of opening a Tea House. Aruba is once again invited to come together to make a meaningful difference.
