ORANJESTAD (AAN): On the first day of school, students at Colegio Santa Teresita were warmly welcomed with the traditional blessing of Dande, creating a joyful and meaningful start to the school year.
This special visit was made possible thanks to the Go Cultura Foundation, which brought the National Dande Paranda to the school on a trailer equipped with speakers, allowing the festive melodies to be enjoyed throughout the campus.
The elementary school, located in San Nicolas, received the cultural visit with great enthusiasm. It was inspiring to see the students’ interest and appreciation for the Dande melodies, performed by the recent winners of the Children’s and Youth Dande competitions.
The event was undoubtedly a special moment for both students and teachers, who showed their affection and appreciation by placing hats on the singers as a gesture of gratitude and celebration.
