ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AAN) — The Colegio Arubano Dia Publico 2026 was held on Friday, offering future students and their families an in-depth look at academic life at one of Aruba’s leading secondary schools.

Organized under the theme “We care, we share, for the future we prepare,” the Open Day allowed prospective students to explore the school, meet teachers, and learn about the wide range of educational opportunities available at Colegio Arubano.

Teachers from all departments hosted presentations and exhibitions showcasing their subjects, giving visitors insight into classroom content and teaching methods. Demonstrations included experiments in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Nature & Technology, highlighting the school’s strong focus on science and innovation.

In the Papiamento classroom, visitors were able to test their language skills while learning how subject content is combined with 21st Century Skills. School deans, responsible for guiding students in their future academic paths, were also present to provide information and answer questions from students and parents. Several workshops were organized to further support orientation and decision-making.

Staying true to Colegio Arubano tradition, the school band, made up of talented students, entertained visitors throughout the afternoon. Student clubs such as the Key Club and Interact Club of Colegio Arubano also contributed to the success of the Open Day. Information was additionally shared about the educational trips organized annually by the school.

The event concluded with a domino competition, in which students—and even some teachers—enthusiastically participated. Throughout the day, visitors gained a comprehensive view of both the academic and extracurricular activities offered by Colegio Arubano.

New Rector Ryma van der Linde, together with the entire Rectorate, expressed gratitude to the Aruban community for its continued support and invited future students to enroll, emphasizing that a Colegio diploma provides a strong foundation for a secure future.
