The Aruba Police Force has arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of committing four armed robberies in the San Nicolas district. Following an intensive investigation by the Robbery Team (T.B.P.), the suspect, identified as H.S.L.B., was taken into custody on April 11.

The incidents occurred between March and April 2026. Reports include the robbery of a student near the National Library, an MFA employee at Plaza Lolita, and tourists viewing murals in the city center. In each case, the suspect reportedly used a bladed weapon to threaten victims before stealing money and personal belongings.

Police confirmed that the suspect is a Colombian national residing illegally on the island. During interrogation, he admitted his involvement in all four cases. The arrest aims to restore safety in the district following the wave of armed incidents.
