ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba’s Chinese community has collected 42 pallets of humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in Venezuela within just three days, demonstrating strong solidarity with those affected by the disaster.

Prime Minister Mike Eman visited the Aruba New China Club Cooperative Association to thank members of the Chinese community for organizing the relief effort. During the visit, he met with Aruba New China Club spokesperson William Ng and Grislynn Hernandez, director of Fundación VeneAruba Solidaria.

The donated supplies include food, drinking water, personal hygiene products, canned goods, cleaning supplies, gloves, and other essential items needed by families impacted by the recent earthquakes.

William Ng said the response from local businesses, families, and community members enabled the organization to gather the donations in only three days, and collection efforts are continuing.

Prime Minister Eman praised the initiative as an example of Aruba’s unity and compassion, noting that people from many backgrounds have joined together to support Venezuela during its time of need.

The donated supplies are expected to be transported to Venezuela through coordinated logistics, while Aruba also continues supporting medical relief efforts in the affected areas.
