ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Last week, the Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) held a meeting with swimming coach Peter Andrews, currently in Aruba with his son Michael Andrews, an Olympic gold medalist, and TEAMARU athlete Mikel Schreuders. Mikel is training with Peter at his Hawaii base in preparation for the 2026 competitions. During the meeting, they discussed Mikel’s current training plan and the tools used to improve his swimming technique. Coach Andrews explained how he uses data analysis and various methods to adapt the training plan to maximize Mikel’s potential in each discipline. The COA expressed gratitude to Peter for his commitment to helping Mikel achieve higher performance levels for TEAMARU.
