ORANJESTAD, Aruba — A four-day Dutch delegation visit is advancing Aruba youth-care cooperation in justice, education and addiction prevention.
Delegation seeks structural cooperation
Social worker Roy Lintz, also known as Lord Cachete, is leading the visit with professionals from a Dutch organisation that supports children and young adults facing challenges involving school, work or the justice system.
Regional director Martijn Zaa said the organisation operates around 30 schools in the Netherlands for students ranging from age four to 25. He said the delegation wants to exchange working methods with Aruban government agencies.
Programs support young people facing barriers
Jasmijn Verhage, director of De Nieuwe Kans, said that program assists people aged 16 to 27 who need help returning to education, finding stable employment or accessing mental and physical healthcare.
The delegation hopes the meetings will build lasting links supporting vulnerable young people in Aruba. The visit was reported by 24ora.
