The Aruba Olympic Committee (COA) has launched phase 3 of its Capacity Building Training (CBT), a program designed to raise the management level of its member federations so they can achieve their organizational goals.
The new phase, organized through the COA’s Development directorate, follows an initial phase of general courses and a second phase focused on developing a strategic plan. Phase 3 will concentrate on each federation’s most important needs, providing individualized guidance together with a subject-matter expert.
During the first information meeting last Monday, four federations were briefed on the planned process and began planning the content of the new phase.
Building stronger federations
The Capacity Building Training course is aimed at helping COA member federations strengthen their internal management. By addressing the specific needs of each federation, the program intends to give sports organizations the tools to run more professionally and to deliver better results for their athletes.
With the first information session completed, the federations will now move into the planning stage, after which the individualized training tracks will begin.
