ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Aruba June Tourism Results show that the island welcomed 143,343 stayover visitors during June 2026, according to figures released by the Aruba Tourism Authority.
The island also recorded 912,256 visitor nights during the month, with travellers staying an average of 6.4 nights. ATA described the figures as a positive performance for Aruba’s tourism industry.
North America Remains Aruba’s Main Market
North America continued to provide the largest share of Aruba’s stayover visitors during June, accounting for 73.6% of total arrivals.
South America represented 20.3%, while Europe contributed 3.5%. Visitors from other regions accounted for the remaining 2.5%.
The United States remained Aruba’s largest individual source market, generating 102,224 visitors during the month.
Argentina recorded 11,682 visitors, representing a strong increase compared with June 2025. The Netherlands led Aruba’s European markets with 2,755 visitors.
Visitors Represent Several Generations
ATA’s visitor-profile information showed that Aruba continued attracting travellers from several age groups.
Generation X represented the largest share of visitors at 26.8%, followed by Millennials at 25.4%.
Generation Z accounted for 20.8% of arrivals, while Baby Boomers represented 18.8%.
The figures demonstrate that Aruba’s tourism appeal extends across younger travellers, families, working-age adults and older visitors.
Cruise Tourism Survey Includes 2,414 Responses
Alongside its June stayover statistics, ATA presented findings from its 2025 Annual Cruise Tourism Survey.
The Strategy, Planning and Research department collected 2,414 completed surveys from cruise visitors throughout 2025.
The study examined cruise-passenger profiles, spending patterns, travel decisions and overall experiences while visiting Aruba.
Aruba Influences Cruise Booking Decisions
According to the survey, 81% of respondents said Aruba’s inclusion in a cruise itinerary influenced their decision to book that particular voyage.
That result increased from 78% in 2024, strengthening Aruba’s position as an important Caribbean cruise destination.
The findings suggest that many passengers do not view Aruba as simply another stop during a cruise. Its presence can influence which cruise itinerary travellers ultimately select.
Visitor Satisfaction Improves
All 14 visitor-experience attributes measured in the cruise survey improved compared with the previous year.
Aruba’s beaches, safety and local hospitality received the highest ratings from cruise passengers.
These results highlight the importance of maintaining clean beaches, welcoming public spaces and a safe environment for visitors.
They also demonstrate the contribution made by tourism employees, taxi operators, excursion providers, retailers, restaurants and other local businesses interacting with cruise passengers.
Cruise Visitors Spend an Average of $197
Average spending by each cruise passenger reached USD 197 during a port visit to Aruba.
Excursions, locally produced crafts, food and beverages were among the leading spending categories.
Cruise tourism therefore generates economic activity across several industries instead of benefiting only the port or cruise terminal.
Tour operators, restaurants, shops, transportation providers, artisans and attractions can all receive business from passengers during their time on the island.
Stayover and Cruise Tourism Support Aruba’s Economy
The June stayover statistics and cruise-survey findings reflect the continuing importance of tourism to Aruba.
Stayover visitors generate demand for hotels, holiday rentals, restaurants, car rentals, attractions and other services over several days.
Cruise passengers generally spend less time on the island but can create concentrated demand for transportation, excursions, shopping and dining during port calls.
Together, both visitor segments contribute to employment and commercial activity throughout Aruba.
ATA Continues Monitoring Tourism Performance
The Aruba Tourism Authority regularly publishes statistical reports covering arrivals, visitor nights, average length of stay, source markets and traveller profiles.
This information helps tourism officials, businesses and policymakers understand changes in visitor behaviour and market performance.
The Aruba June Tourism Results confirm that the United States remains the island’s dominant source market while Argentina continues to strengthen its contribution from South America.
The cruise survey also shows that Aruba’s beaches, hospitality and perceived safety remain important parts of the visitor experience.
With 143,343 stayover arrivals and more than 912,000 visitor nights recorded during June, Aruba maintained strong tourism activity while cruise passengers continued providing economic benefits across multiple local sectors.
