An Aruba court witness order will require a female police officer to give evidence before a criminal case resumes. The judge granted part of a defence request and postponed the proceeding for an examining magistrate to question her.
Case concerns an alleged 2025 incident
According to Diario, a 43-year-old man is accused of inappropriate touching at a San Nicolas bar on June 15, 2025. He denied the allegation. The defence argued the investigation was incomplete; the judge found supporting evidence but approved testimony from the officer.
Proceeding will resume after testimony
Defence counsel may attend the questioning. A report will then go to the trial judge, who will set a continuation date. No final ruling has been made.
