The Aruba Tourism Authority and Aruba Excellence Foundation have signed a fourth agreement to continue and expand the Aruba Certification Program for tourism professionals.
Agreement supports an updated training program
The agreement was signed on September 28 by A.T.A. chief executive Ronella Croes and AEF supervisory board president Monica Bos. It provides funding for the development and delivery of the certification program and related educational activities.
The renewed program is expected to include updated content, modernized teaching methods and more opportunities to complete training in person or digitally. The changes are intended to reflect current industry needs while maintaining the program’s island-wide relevance.
Course focuses on service and visitor knowledge
Aruba Certification Program topics include local culture, history, nature and hospitality. The educational program has operated since 2011, while AEF has independently managed its continued development since 2018.
A.T.A. and AEF said the collaboration is designed to strengthen professional knowledge and service quality among workers whose roles contribute to the visitor experience.
