An Aruba Baseball5 course is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 19, with experts from the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and about 25 expected participants, according to an English 24ora report published on October 15.
Three-day course will train new instructors
The Aruba Olympic Committee (COA), Aruba Baseball Association (ABBA) and Aruba Softball Association (ASB) worked together to organize the three-day course. COA recently met with ABBA board members to discuss the preparations.
The training is intended to develop new instructors as Baseball5 becomes part of the IBiSA School Games project and the 2027 Inter-Island Games, the report said.
WBSC meetings also planned
Two WBSC representatives are also expected to meet with ABBA to discuss baseball development in Aruba. The course will be accompanied by meetings with other stakeholders in the island’s sports community.
