An Aruba Arepazo event planned for September 12 will combine food and entertainment with fundraising for people affected by disasters in Venezuela and Colombia.
Community group organizes Villa Floralina gathering
Miriam Parra of La Comunidad Civil Unida told DIARIO that the event will be held at Villa Floralina as part of the international Day of the Arepa. The program is expected to include live music, a domino tournament and more than 30 sponsored prizes connected to admission.
Organizer pledges proceeds to relief groups
Parra said 100 percent of funds raised will be donated to organizations assisting affected communities, naming Caritas groups in Colombia and Venezuela as examples.
