ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba Announces 26 Waste Bin Locations for National Clean-Up Day as preparations continue for the island-wide cleanup campaign taking place on Saturday, July 25, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Speaking during an interview with Matutino DIARIO, Robert Ras of the Bureau City Inspector explained that the department will oversee the placement and management of approximately 26 waste collection containers across Aruba, allowing residents to dispose of bulky waste and unwanted items responsibly.
Ras said the collection points have been strategically distributed throughout the island to make participation as convenient as possible.
Waste Bin Locations
Residents will be able to dispose of waste at designated locations including:
- San Nicolas – Westkust Battery, the Water Tower near Aruba Store, Rooi Hundo behind the Community Pool, and behind Pepsi along the road leading to the remote-control aircraft field.
- Cura Cabay, Mabon, and Brasil.
- Tarcisius College Preparatory School in Cura Cabay.
- La Fama Field in Savaneta.
- Universal Field in Pos Chikito.
- Ecotech Units in the Mahuma/Wayaca area, which will remain open for ongoing waste collection.
- Club Aduana and Dakota Community Center serving Dakota, Tarabana, and Sabana Blanco.
- Arsenal Field and the Libertador Betico Croes Sports Center in Santa Cruz.
- The collection point near Indian Rock, previously used during the Baki den Bario initiative.
- Leopoldo Ball Park, located near Domino’s Pizza in Piedra Plat.
- Vondellaan Cricket Field in Oranjestad.
- Harbor Arena.
- The parking area near Juancho Yrausquin and the Oranjestad Post Office.
Ras noted that volunteers and multiple government agencies will work together throughout the day to support cleanup efforts in the various districts.
The National Day to Care for Aruba is part of a broader government initiative encouraging residents to help keep neighborhoods clean, reduce illegal dumping, and dispose of waste responsibly.
Officials are encouraging everyone to take advantage of the conveniently located collection bins and participate in the island-wide effort to create a cleaner and healthier Aruba for all.
