Aruba affordable housing demand has been underscored by more than 2,000 applications for 20 homes in FCCA’s two-week “Yabi den bo man” mortgage campaign.
Homes are planned for Rooi Bosal and Shaba
The project consists of 17 row houses in Rooi Bosal and three detached homes in Shaba. FCCA said it will build the properties and deliver them completed to their buyers.
Applications are being reviewed in order
FCCA said applications are processed in the order received. The review checks whether applicants supplied valid required documents, meet eligibility rules, have the financial capacity for a mortgage and pass screening.
The first 20 applicants who satisfy all conditions will be considered for the available homes. If an applicant does not qualify, the review moves to the next application in sequence. FCCA said every applicant will be contacted after the evaluation process.
Demand points to a wider housing shortage
The organization acknowledged that the response signals a need for more reasonably priced housing and said it plans to continue developing future projects. Qualified applicants outside the first 20 were advised to monitor FCCA channels for new opportunities.
