A serious accident took place around 10:30 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2025, on Caya Betico Croes, near Playa, heading towards Cumana. The collision involved a motorcycle and a van, resulting in a fatality.
Emergency units responded promptly, and the first team arrived to find a BMW Adventure R1250 GS motorcycle abandoned, with the rider lying unconscious nearby, wearing a yellow shirt and black helmet. Despite efforts by paramedics, the motorcyclist showed no signs of life. Ambulance teams rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, the young man, identified as Denny Enmanuel Leoni Davila, born November 24, 2003, from Venezuela, was declared deceased.
The incident marks the seventh traffic fatality in Aruba for the year 2025. Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are ongoing, with security cameras in the area expected to provide valuable insights.
The authorities, including forensic expert Dr. Scholten and other police officials, have expressed their condolences to the victim’s family.
