On Friday afternoon, local police and ambulance services were dispatched to the scene of what was initially reported as a simple traffic accident involving a vehicle colliding with a utility pole. The situation appeared to be a standard injury incident, but the scene was considered suspicious by authorities.
When emergency crews arrived, they encountered confusion regarding the victims. One injured individual present at the site refused medical treatment. Police officers spoke with the alleged owner of the vehicle, who indicated that an injured passenger next to him was also declining assistance. Shortly after, a young man arrived bleeding from a stab wound to the right chest. Although he was treated inside the ambulance, he declined to be transported to the hospital at that time.
Later that night, police received a report concerning a man who had been seriously assaulted. It was established that this was the same individual involved in the earlier accident. The victim eventually collapsed and explained that he had initially refused medical aid because he feared for his safety. He confessed to authorities that the accident was actually a “reglamento di cuenta,” claiming the driver had intentionally tried to kill him by hitting him with the car. Police attended to the victim, who was in severe pain, and urgently transported him to the hospital. The Recherche department has since been notified to investigate the case, which had been flagged as suspicious from the start.
