ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority recently had the privilege of honoring Mrs. Kelly and Mr. Charles Theis from Southport, North Carolina, USA, as Distinguished Visitors of Aruba. The couple was presented with a special certificate recognizing their over 10 years of loyal visits to Aruba, reflecting their deep love and admiration for the island.

A Token of Appreciation

The Distinguished Visitor certification is awarded on behalf of the Minister of Tourism to guests who have visited Aruba 10 or more consecutive years. Mrs. Keyttin Silva, representing the Aruba Tourism Authority, along with staff members from Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort, presented the certificate and gifts to the honorees during a heartfelt ceremony.

Top Reasons for Returning to Aruba

When asked about what keeps them coming back year after year, Mr. and Mrs. Theis shared the following reasons for their loyalty to Aruba:

  • The island’s friendly and caring people

  • The beautiful beaches and Aruba’s reliable sunny weather

  • The overall personal safety of the island

  • Easy transportation to and from Aruba, as well as convenient independent driving once on the island

  • Their 10-year stay at Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort, which has become their “home away from home”

Heartfelt Gratitude

On behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Theis for their continued visits to Aruba and for making the “One Happy Island” their home away from home. We look forward to welcoming them back for many more years of memorable experiences in paradise.
