A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon at Boca Catalina, where a 67-year-old American tourist fell seriously ill and subsequently passed away.

According to police reports, around 2 PM, authorities and two ambulances were called to the scene. The woman had stopped responding, prompting immediate CPR efforts, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful.

It was reported that the tourist had come to Aruba on Sunday with her family for vacation. While snorkeling, she indicated to her family that she was having trouble breathing. Her family immediately assisted her and brought her to shore, but she lost consciousness and later died.

Dr. Texier arrived at the scene and confirmed the woman’s death.
