ORANJESTAD – The Court of First Instance has sentenced Hendrik Jozef Webb, age 74, to four years in prison after finding him guilty of sexually abusing two underage girls. The sentencing took place in the presence of both the defendant’s and the victims’ families.

The case centers around a couple living in Noord, who had trusted a neighboring couple to look after their two daughters after school—a decision they now deeply regret. The man in question, Jan Hendrik Jozef Webb, took advantage of that trust and committed acts that have deeply impacted the young victims and their families.

Webb now has two weeks to decide whether he will appeal the sentence in a higher court if he disagrees with the ruling.
