Herbert Aruba talks on Monday focused on economic diversification and innovation as Prime Minister Mike Eman received Dutch Economic Affairs and Climate Minister Heleen Herbert at Bestuurskantoor, Diario reports.
Cooperation opportunities discussed
The November 2 meeting continued discussions held during Eman’s visit to the Netherlands the previous week. The leaders considered opportunities to attract Dutch businesses and institutions to Aruba. Eman referred to Schiphol, KLM and Wageningen as examples of existing connections.
More visits on the programme
According to Diario, Herbert’s Aruba programme also includes a sustainable-tourism organisation, the refinery site, cabinet members, the governor and Impact Hub representatives. The report describes discussions and planned visits, not a new investment agreement.
