A Glenda Heyliger tribute will bring the community to ZEER TROPISCH Art House in San Nicolas on November 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to an announcement reported by 24ora. Art Rap Foundation is organizing the public gathering.
Documentary returns with a dedication
The programme includes the official Aruba premiere of Ida Does’s 2012 documentary Landscapes of Memory – Four Women Artists of Aruba. The film features Osaira Muyale, Glenda Heyliger, Desiree Sporkslede and Angiolina Henriquez. The announcement says it has been re-edited and subtitled, with a dedication to Glenda added this month.
Community invited to share memories
An open microphone after the screening will give attendees an opportunity to share memories and artistic experiences. The venue, Art Rap Foundation’s home, is opposite Charlie’s Bar. The gathering honours Heyliger’s artistic and community legacy rather than announcing a new film production.
