An AHATA knife donation has provided 50 first-year EPI HORECA culinary students with professional knife sets for their training, 24ora reported on October 19.
Professional tools presented to first-year students
Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association president and CEO Tisa LaSorte presented a set to each student in the presence of EPI HORECA faculty. The association said the contribution is intended to give students suitable tools as they begin learning practical kitchen skills.
Donation addresses the cost of school equipment
AHATA said not every student can readily afford the equipment required for classes. The association described the donation as a way to provide equal access to quality knives during training.
Education and hospitality connection highlighted
The initiative forms part of AHATA’s efforts to connect education with the labour market and support local culinary and tourism talent. The report describes a completed equipment donation rather than a new course or scholarship programme.
