Teachers in Aruba have completed three library workshops to prepare for classroom author and illustrator visits during the 2026 Children’s Book Festival.
Workshops supported participating teachers
Biblioteca Nacional Aruba organized the sessions for teachers whose classes will take part in the festival. According to 24ora, workshops were held at the library in Oranjestad, with another session at the San Nicolas library during the previous week.
The preparation focused on teachers who want a children’s author or illustrator to visit their classroom as part of the program.
2026 theme centers on performance
This year’s theme is “Lights, Camera, Action!” and highlights stories involving singing, dancing, theater and the work that takes place behind the scenes.
Organizers said the festival is intended to encourage courage, creativity and enjoyment through books and performance. The theme gives students opportunities to experience stories from the audience and through their own participation on stage.
